Finding Calm, Connection & Joy—Together 💛

Namaste, Reader!

We just wrapped up our Family Flow: Yoga for Kids and Caregivers workshop—and I’m still glowing from the energy and heart each of you brought to our time together.

During the workshop, we explored mindfulness and social-emotional learning through breath work, partner poses, and rest. These seemingly simple practices became powerful tools for connection, joy, and emotional awareness—for both kids and their grown-ups.

During one class, a homeschooling parent asked what I believe is the greatest benefit of yoga. My answer?

Yoga helps me stay present during stressful moments or intense emotions, so I can show up as my most authentic self for my loved ones—and feel more connected in both my brain and my body.

That connection is the heart of everything I teach.

Another family asked about the science behind that connection—how yoga affects the brain. If you’re curious too, here are a few trusted resources to explore:

Yoga & the Brain: A Few Great Places to Start

Whether you're a caregiver, educator, or fellow yoga teacher, understanding the brain-body connection can help deepen your own practice—and the way you hold space for others.
